What are we being taught?
In the past many months, I reached out to an Orthodox shul out of state. I was trying to affirm common ground with the Rabbi. One of the many breaches I had with him was he stated that the Shema was NOT written to hard working blue collar people, I asked how you could read about farming and ranching and not call it hard blue collar work. No explanation. However, in my mind worse. This is the concept that he is teaching. So the 3-4 areas where he and I disagreed he is conveying those to his people. Multiply this over and over again. You have a society of Jews with the same thoughts If the Rabbi are wrong, and teaching wrong. In addition, not challenged. Where do we end up? We can have an intellectual holocaust, of ideas suffocated out. A friend of mine tells me that most Jews write a check to their Jewish foundation. Feel validated, but do not read Torah or have any real concept. Even though he agreed with my concepts. He says most are clueless. We only have ourselves to blame.
I have heard so many times “How could this happen?” But the answer is what did you do to prevent it from happening? By the book Torah we are supposed to take care of each other. Yeah in takes effort, cost energy. May even cost some dollars. So what. We are supposed to be a tribe. Many tribes. A people of generations and of values. Zachor does mean something.

Humane and Property Damage
Humane damage Binghamton N.Y.
The humane damage in Binghamton n.y. immigration could have been reduced or eliminated. If we take a different attitude with our society. The Gov. talked about shooting in Alabama, and other places. The information is all over the place where shootings are happening. The answer is also out there but no one talks about it.. One comment I read was “how could it happen here”. I can happen anywhere and it does. Except where we stop it. John Lott Chicago university wrote “more guns less crime”
In states that are anti gun ,in buildings that are anti gun we set ourselves up to be victims. We have laws that disarm us but the people that kill us don’t pay attention to those laws.
9 years ago in Clearwater Fl, rout 60. A man walks out of the kitchen of a hotel into the lobby and starts shooting, 5 dead, car jacked and shot someone. If there was a armed citizen in that lobby that shooter may have been stopped. The fatal mistake is thinking or saying it can‘t or would not happen here.
The history of the world and this country has proven different. Predators understand strength, none of them play by our rules. The liberals want you to think that guns are the problem,, no people are the problem. Special forces learn how to kill with anything. That is taught all over the world.
How do you have a armed receptionist at immigration when that is against state and federal regs? She could have stopped him. Our approach is wrong. I have walked in social security office and see a rent a cop, but I cannot go in there with my concealed weapons permit..
All of this happens because we let it happen. We have given op or self protection and expect others with a badge to protect us and are horrified we they fail. But will walk some where as a victim.
Protecting What You Have
Protecting what you have is always a good idea. Investing in yourself is also good. Making wise choices is very important.. After years driving a Locksmith service truck, I have learned a lot. For the most part Locks and alarms only keep honest people out.. Most break-ins are very fast in and out. Meaning that even if you have a alarm, by the time there is a direct response, or the alarm company notifies the local police. The response time is such that they are long gone. Wasted money from my point of view.
If someone is always home then they should be armed. They can defend against the predators.
I you are going to be gone and the home is left alone unguarded, then the best answer is security bars and gates. Insurance on things that cannot re replaced is a waste from my point. Investing in real iron or steel to keep out that bad guy is your best self investment.. T.V. commercials are a joke that shows a alarm company calling someone and then sending help. Self reliance is always best.. All of the security stuff I see at the local Lowe’s is china- junk. Aluminum may be rust free and be able to be painted, but it is weak. I am working on gearing up to make quality security gates and doors out of forged iron in my Blacksmith shop here. Regardless if you are going through great, good, or rough economic times. Protecting what is yours is vital. There is never a good time to be robbed.
These are two write up that I did.. Both are describing life without Torah. If people were living Torah, neither situation would happen, or damage could have be minimal. In both cases Amelek caused carnage.

Wonderfully Something Happened
Wonderfully Something Happened
With Passover coming I did something I don’t normally do. I called out for help. I don’t do that because all I ever have heard is excuses. This time I called my Rabbi house. His wonderful wife answered and I mentioned our need. She asked if there was anything else and my wife mentioned a few other basic items.
She went to Cosco and sent out a shipment UPS that day. It is amazing how a simple act can have such a strong effect on you life. It is a shame others can’t or won’t get out of their comfort zone.

The More I Reach Out to Community, The Better My Rabbi Gets
The More I Reach Out to Community, The Better My Rabbi Gets
Over the years I have reached out to the Jewish community all over this country. Every time I make contact and hope someone will do what Torah commands, they don’t. I talk with my Rabbi about the positive and Negative commandments of Torah. We speak of what a man is commanded to do. I reach out and ask a man or a Rabbi to help men connect with other men. I was wanting to get some feedback from other men. To talk with men on issues that face real men. The same way that I get it from my Rabbi. Never happens. Everyone has a excuse. I quote what I read in Torah. My Rabbi has confirmed that I do have a sound grasp of what I have read. I hear that I don’t understand, That it does not work that way. With every failure, my Rabbi gets better and better.
I really wonder what HaShem feels or thinks about all think. I know that I have not, cannot speak to every Jewish man in this land. But so far we the people have a lousy track record. And my Rabbi gets smarter by the day. At least I have one man.

What Are You Going To Do When Amelek Comes After You?
What Are You Going To Do When Amelek Comes After You?
Amelek the adversary, the evil one. That spirit can be in, controlling anyone. History has shown many people with that commanding spirit about them. Torah commands us to fight that for all generations.
Zachor,, Never Forget. If you remember the lessons of history, you will position yourself to be prepared for the confrontation.. There are people today that openly declare that they want to destroy us. So it is not a question of if, it is a question of when you will be confronted.
We as a people have a history of being weak and not doing what Torah commands. Predators see and understand this. They follow no rules, they only respect strength. My tour of duty in Viet Nam showed me that.
We have a book “One Destiny” that talks about people fleeing the getto and the sound of automatic weapons in the background as Rabbi’s fought the enemy.
So what would happen if everyone would stand up and fight? History might change.
That is why I am always carrying a weapon. I am a Gunsmith-Blacksmith by trade and learning Dry Stone Masonry Going back to my roots. If or when the bad man comes to do us harm or kill us. I will have a response And even if I go down, I will go down defending my self and family. But I will have fought. I expect no one else to do my job. I defend my Ketubah
I respect other peoples view. I am always carrying my gun. I will not go where I cannot defend my self. I will not put myself and family in the position of being a victim. My Rabbi knows I carry and has no problem with me carrying in shul. Others do.. I spoke to a Rabbi in a city we were thinking about visiting and he tells me that the Shema was not written to blue collar hard working people and no I cannot bring my gun with me., into his place. I will not attend his shul.

Finding common ground ?? Or not
I do understand the concept. When I was in a minyin a few times in a Atlanta shul I was ignored. Granted that I do not all the movements from growing up in it. But when you are in a return mode and no one speaks to you ,,so how do you learn??
One man responded to me when I was trying to see if my thinking and or approach was wrong. He said that "they don't know what to do with you". And no you are not wrong in respect to Torah. He felt that all the great thinkers were gone. He recalled a very good Rabbi in Tennesse and I called this man. The Rabbi in question was retired and the current Rabbi argued with me that the Shema was not written to hard working bllue collar people. We had a few othe places where I disagree,,So how can I go ( 3 1/2 hour drive) to fellowish--where I can't even find common ground with the Rabbi?? And this Rabbi never called me back to check on me.

This is a response to Steve from someone
The people came to the desert of Sinai, where Mount Sinai stood, and they camped there. Moses went up to that mountain to pray and there God MET him and talked with Moses and told Him what to do.Exo 19:10 And the LORD said unto Moses, Go unto the people, and sanctify them to day and to morrow, and let them wash their clothes, Exo 19:11 And be ready against the third day: for the third day the LORD will come down in the sight of all the people upon mount Sinai. Exo 19:12 And thou shalt set bounds unto the people round about, saying, Take heed to yourselves, that ye go not up into the mount, or touch the border of it: whosoever toucheth the mount shall be surely put to death: Exo 19:13 There shall not an hand touch it, but he shall surely be stoned, or shot through; whether it be beast or man, it shall not live: when the trumpet soundeth long, they shall come up to the mount. Exo 19:14 And Moses went down from the mount unto the people, and sanctified the people; and they washed their clothes. Exo 19:15 And he said unto the people, Be ready against the third day: come not at your wives. Exo 19:16 And it came to pass on the third day in the morning, that there were thunders and lightnings, and a thick cloud upon the mount, and the voice of the trumpet exceeding loud; so that all the people that was in the camp trembled. Exo 19:17 And Moses brought forth the people out of the camp to meet with God; and they stood at the nether part of the mount. Exo 19:18 And mount Sinai was altogether on a smoke, because the LORD descended upon it in fire: and the smoke thereof ascended as the smoke of a furnace, and the whole mount quaked greatly. Exo 19:19 And when the voice of the trumpet sounded long, and waxed louder and louder, Moses spake, and God answered him by a voice. Exo 19:20 And the LORD came down upon mount Sinai, on the top of the mount: and the LORD called Moses up to the top of the mount; and Moses went up. The Lord called Moses up. He caused Moses to move - not Moses himself or the people, but HaShem. As we know it was at this point that HaShem gave the commandments and laws and the Jewish people have broken them ever since. If they kept the laws and continued to do so today, Bud would not be in the condition he is in today.Steve you said "Find a Rabbi willing to convert you. Find a Rabbi that you can work with, then move. There are reasons we pray in a Minyan." What is a Rabbi going to convert this man too, he is an Orthodox Jew and it is quite clear he knows more than most Rabbi's, he understands Torah and tries to believe it - not change it, but because of the failures of his fellow men he does not know where to believe in it or not.Do not condemn him - learn from him.

Steven Where we are on common ground.
Steven, thank you for trying. I am Jewish, have my grand mothers Ketubah, trying to be Observant. We are in the Kentucky hill due to a very long jurney. If we could sell our house ( which cannot, not finished) I have no idea of where to move. I have spoken to many Rabbi's. No one has ever had a answer for me,Every one has had a roadblock. I have pointed out Torah and asked for comment, I cannot get anyone to talk with me, they all fall away. I have tried to get Torah commuity defined, personal interaction defined against Torah. I have been in Minyin and been ignored. A Orthodox friend in Louisville commented that his answer is " I have been ignored by better". I have Orthodox Rabbi's in this country and Israel talking with me and having to answer. If we could afford to move, I have to idea of where to go. I am not going to try to move to a community that will not even pick up the phone and speak with me. We are between 2 and 4 hours away form any community depending on direction, I have been unable to get the Rabbi's of the same state and surrounding states to help me with any contact. But thank you
